Right, I am really throwing away some holidays here. Ryanair is flying into Palermo from London Stansted. Prices are very reasonable. I have some gaps in my bookings so if you take advantage of these throw-away prices and Ryanair’s offer you could treat yourself to a great experience at negligible cost.

Here is a brief itinerary…

Friday 27th June – Afternoon arrival (16.20) at Palermo airport. We drive up into the mountains where we settle in at Pippa’s Paddock. and have a welcome drink. Dinner will be at our place and after that we can pop into town for a stroll and some drinks.

Saturday 28th June – In the morning we ride out and take along a picnic lunch. In the evening we bbq on our lovely terrace overlooking the Gurfa Valley.

Sunday 29th June – We ride in the morning after breakfast. This is followed by a light lunch at Pippa’s Paddock. There will be some free time in the afternoon and we shall then go to a 2500 year-old arab town in time to watch sunset from a terrific spot. On the way back we stop in yet another town for a traditional local pizza.
