Last Sunday, we finally took Qalbi out for her first ride out. Pippa rode her, whilst Erika was on Ambrogio (Qalbi’s Dad) and I rode Farrouk.
We have just backed Qalbi (now over 4 years old) and will start to get her used to going out on the road etc. This is why we took her along with our two most experienced horses. It did not unfortunately, go fantasticly well. A young bull decided to charge in our direction, half way through the ride. I don’t think he had any bad intentions, just a mad rush to see the strangers on the other side of the fence, but Qalbi didn’t take it lightly and stayed upset for most of the rest of the ride. We’re working with her to get her more accustomed to the “outdoor life”….
The pic shows Pippa on Qalbi with Ambrogio and Erika in the background. The scenery is beautiful at this time of the year…. (Mark)
looks beautiful allthough it sounds like a difficult ride
Hi Monique… I know, slow answer. But it’s not that dificult. Nothing compared to what we did in 2012 !! (Mark)
